The Thematic Classification of Summaries provides the reader with a quick and easy means of identifying the ones of particular interest to him/her. The titles of the articles have been split up into 17 categories (along the lines of the headings in the POPIN Thesaurus). Each of them is followed by a numerical code within brackets: this is made up of the second and third digits of the numerical code given to each summary in the Review of Population Reviews. This makes it possible to locate the summary of the article in question quite rapidly since the summaries are classified in ascending order of the second and third digits of their numerical code. Each article will be mentioned under one of the headings to which the keywords describing it belong. One and the same article can thus be found under several headings.
